Fining it down for tricky fish
Share
Its a common thing on many venues - fish within an easy casting range yet they can be devilish to catch - sometimes fining it down is the way to go. smaller flies in the size 14-18 range dressed short can often be the antidote to catching these fish. Leaders don't have to be long, perfect turnover is the desired goal and finer leaders will sink slower giving the fish more time to find your flies. keep the end of the fly line floating and watch for movement as your flies sink through the upper layers - Tight lines - Andy
