Partridge was a pioneer in the production of specialist and unique patterns for trout and grayling fishing and over the years became renowned for innovative patterns like the Draper flat body, Swedish Dry and Parachute hooks. 

As modern materials have evolved, and fly tyers have looked for convenience, many of these patterns have become redundant.  In recent times we have re-introduced the G3A Series, L5A in barbless and up-eyed versions, K14 and the K2B – all patterns that have been copied and are now standards patterns used on the sill waters and rivers of the world
